It may be an unusual approach, but we treat the design of our kid's bikes every bit as seriously as we do our adult range. That's why the Acid 260 Disc features the same mechanically formed 6061 aluminium tubes as our full-size Acid hardtails, but built around smaller 26in wheels and an 80mm suspension fork for the best possible standover height. Lower standover is important for young riders, since it helps boost confidence - and it's safer, too. We fitted Tektro hydraulic disc brakes for strong, dependable all-weather stopping ability and Shimano 3x8 gears for their reliable performance and wide range. Internal cable routing looks great and keeps gear shifts clean and crisp with the minimum of maintenance, whilst an integrated kickstand mount means you can easily add this useful accessory. We've thoroughly tested every aspect of the Acid 260 Disc in our in-house lab, so you can be sure it's more than strong and durable enough to withstand lots of enthusiastic use. And the Suntour suspension fork is the finishing touch that your kids will love, matching mum and dad's bike and adding a useful dose of extra comfort and control.
